Arcane Eclipse is a small studio for software, artificial intelligence, and the occasional research detour. We build durable, useful tools — and we take our time with them.
01 — The studio
Arcane Eclipse is an independent software company run by an engineer with decades of professional practice. It exists as a home for products, experiments, and research — a quiet workshop rather than a venture.
Some of what we make becomes commercial software. Some stays a prototype, an open-source contribution, or a written-up dead end. All of it is the work of people who genuinely enjoy building things that are useful.
02 — Philosophy
Technology should serve people. Good software reduces friction, amplifies capability, and gets out of the way.
On craft
We prefer durable, well-considered work to fast, loud work. Small surfaces. Careful defaults. Software that ages well.
On AI
Artificial intelligence is a tool that should sharpen human judgment, not replace it. We treat it like any other powerful technology — with both enthusiasm and care.
On independence
Being small is the point. It lets us choose problems on their merits and ship on the timeline the work deserves.
On curiosity
Creativity and computation are complementary. The interesting work happens where rigor meets imagination.
